šCozy Up This Winter
Winter has always been a tough season for me. To combat my seasonal depression, I grant myself a luxurious, reading-heavy evening routine.
As soon as I finish work, the kettle is on and a chamomile tea bag is at the ready. Once brewed, I curl up with the tea and a book, reading until itās time to go to bed.Ā
In other seasons, reading for three or four hours a night seems frivolous. There are goals to complete, people to meet, and nights out at ice cream shops.
In the gloom of winter, I give myself more permission to rest.
Some of my favorite books this winter have been cozy fantasy novels. I still love a good action-packed fantasy novel, but magic hits differently when itās not life or death.
